 2000, 18k M Nib, 2612/4810

Tribute is paid to Karl der Grosse, Hommage à Charlemagne, a great cultural visionary of the first millennium with an equally great writing instrument. The barrel and cap are made of delicately wound 925 sterling silver with detailed gold-plated mountings that are reminiscent of Carolingian features in the decoration of Aachen Cathedral, where Charlemagne was crowned.

The 18K medium nib is rhodium plated. It is unique with an engraved early Medieval pattern as well as the emperor’s own monogram.
